【一】 Emely Cifuentes is 17 years old this year. Last week. She asked her little sister Marly, a girl who wants to be an artist, to paint a pair of blue shoes. Instead of having a finished product, Emely Cifuentes had the unfinished shoes. Marly wrote an explanation, “Mom said she didn’t like them and that broke my heart. I don’t need you to break it more.” After reading the note, Emely quickly started crying, because her sister put effort into (付出努力) them, and it made Emely so sad that she felt like she did a bad job. Emely talked about it with her mother and she found that was just a bit of misunderstanding (误解).
